Learn about Excellence in Energy Efficiency made in Germany
Conference 1st November, Hyatt Regency, Auckland
“Get up close and personal with German energy efficiency experts.” The New Zealand German Business Association (NZGBA) is organizing a one day conference on Energy Efficiency on Monday 1st of November at the Hyatt Regency in Auckland. The conference is part of the German Chamber Business Delegation Programme “Energy Efficiency in Buildings”.
“The visit of key players in the German energy efficiency sector, to meet with New Zealand businesses at the one day conference in Auckland, reconfirms the serious interest Germany has in New Zealand,” says NZ German Business Association CEO, Monique Surges.
Experts from both the New Zealand and German energy efficiency sector will be briefing conference participants on the latest developments, the German companies will be highlighting the products they would like to introduce to the New Zealand market. Subsequent to the conference the visiting delegation will undertake individual meeting schedules around New Zealand and visit current projects.
New Zealand companies interested in learning more about German technology developments in buildings are invited to attend. Architects, engineers, builders and designers are especially welcome.
Buildings account for over 40 % of German energy consumption, 85 % of which is used for heating purposes. In private households this figure is as high as 86 % of the total energy consumption. There is an obligation to integrate efficient heating technologies in order to decrease primary energy consumption.
