The AHK Business Delegation New Zealand Renewable Energy Technology, from the 30 November to the 2nd of December offered a myriad of opportunities for New Zealand and German companies to work together efficiently. The one day conference in Auckland marked the start. Approx. 60 participants visited the conference to learn more about the situation of Renewables in Germany and New Zealand. |

The NZGBA organized the event in
collaboration with eclareon GmbH, Berlin. Monique Surges, CEO of
the NZGBA, addressed the audience and introduced the topics of
the day. Windenergy and Geothermal experts presented the latest

The program included a visit to a marae in
Auckland, where the German delegation learned a little about the
cultural diversity of the Maori. After a traditional welcome
ceremony, the men were instructed how to use the “taiaha”,
common weapons of the Maori while the women experienced with
flax weaving. It was a good start to a busy week ahead. The
cocktail reception on the evening of the conference was also a
great success.
