Publication - Double the Vision – 5th edition

Double The VisionAuckland, September 2011 - The New Zealand German Business Association Inc (NZGBA) is happy to announce the launch of the 5th edition of the annual publication Double the Vision. This business guide is an invaluable source of information on the trading relationship between the largest EU country and New Zealand.

As in previous years the focus remains on information about leading industry sectors in Germany and New Zealand. This time we included some interesting interviews with high profile German personalities. The German Ambassador in New Zealand, Thomas Meister, talks about scientific research projects between New Zealand and Germany. Frankfurt Book Fair CEO Juergen Boos, who visited Auckland in May, explains the opportunities New Zealand has by being guest of honor at this prestigious international fair in 2012. Read also about a number of success stories from our members to give practical insights into how bilateral business relationships could work to the benefit of all participants.

The publication takes a closer look at New Zealand’s hot topics such as the restructuring of Christchurch or the emerging business possibilities in the biotechnology sector. Leading export industries like tourism and food & beverage are investigated in detail.

Our business guide informs you about trend setting German topics such as the phase out of nuclear power and the roadmap to the renewable age and a report about the state of the art of the automotive industry and the international trade fair business.

Increasing urbanization is one of the great megatrends of our time. The challenge is on globally to find ways to help growing cities achieve a sustainable environment. We introduce you to the Green City Index, a survey initiated by Siemens AG in cooperation with the Economist Intelligence Unit.

“Germany is one of the key markets for New Zealand to concentrate on. It is often overlooked in New Zealand as one of the world’s leading export nations and few seem to realise the strong economic growth Germany has been experiencing despite the Euro issues", says Monique Surges, CEO of the NZGBA. “Our publication gives a concise read on the different industries and a feeling for the trade relationship between Germany and New Zealand.”

We hope you enjoy the read!

The publication is available and complimentary. Please email us to order your copies.
