Internship with the New Zealand German Business Association (NZGBA)
The NZGBA offers 6 month internship positions to German students in their final year of studies. Applications are to be submitted at least 6 months prior to the preferred placement date. The assignment involves work in market research, event-management and project assistance. Students should be skilled in all MS office applications and fluent in English. Some SAP B1 knowledge is helpful. Internship placements available at present are as follows:
- January – June 2011
- February – July 2011
- July-December 2011
- August – February 2012 (includes Christmas/Summer holiday closure period)
We pay a maximum scholarship of NZ$ 4,860 total per placement position. If you would like to have more information about financial support, please contact your university or college. It is recommended to do this as early as possible. Often you can apply for a scholarship without having the confirmation of an internship.

Internships in New Zealand are not as well known as they are in Germany as they are not a requirement for qualification; hence there are not a lot on offer and the few companies accepting interns are in high demand.
