End of year functions 2011

We took the opportunity to thank our members and partners in Wellington for their support this year. As in 2010 we had chosen a venue featuring German top end kitchens, German Kitchens on Marion Street. We had a fabulous event and reviewed this years' business over a glass of wine. Our member Schubert Wines has kindly offered again to provide a wine tasting of their high quality wines. They presented 7 wines incl. their famous PINOT NOIR Marion's Vineyard. |

The attendees had the opportunity to see their nibbles being prepared before their eyes by one-star Michelin rated chef Adam Newell (left). He is the owner of Zibibbo restaurant in Wellington and is also recognised from TVNZ's Good Morning Show or his top-selling cookbook - A Consuming Passion. German Ambassador H.E. Thomas Meister (right) also attended and addressed everyone with a short welcome speech. |

Like in Wellington we also chose a venue featuring German top end kitchens in Auckland to thank our members for their support this year. BSH Home Appliances kindly hosted our event in their Bosch & Gaggenau Showrooms in Mairangi Bay. |

About 30 people joined the function and enjoyed delicious fresh nibbles prepared by award-winning Christchurch chef Jonny Schwass. It was an excellent, relaxing evening with German beer and wines from our member Schubert Wines. |
