Workshop: How to do business in Germany

Details: The New Zealand-German Business Association is pleased to invite you to our Exporter Workshop Series!
As a special service for New Zealand exporters, we offer tailored content-rich workshops for busy exporters, who want to become aware of the German market.

The workshops are created to provide you with in-depth information on the German market place and all that's necessary for you to know.
Starting from the basics of tax and legal advice to logistics, through to finding the right destination for your business in Europe, followed by an overview of the retail structure and how to best use trade fairs. These workshops cover a lot of what you need to know!

Workshop 2: How to do business in Germany:
Eager to do business in Europe’s largest and wealthiest country? Be centrally located and access the wider EU market? Need to understand more about market entry, the business environment, operation structures and regulations in Germany? This workshop addresses key issues of doing business in Germany, including:

- How to enter the German market (different approaches and their advantages and disadvantages)
- Use of distributors, agents and sales representatives
- Setting up and managing a subsidiary, branch or representative office
- Franchising
- Tax and legal issues
- Maximising sales and market share
- Germany as central standpoint for accessing EU markets

The workshop is designed for companies looking to enter the German market as well as for those already exporting to Germany and considering new approaches or expanding operations in Germany and the EU.

Speaker: Denis Schweder, Managing Director of InterGest New Zealand. With its roots in Germany, InterGest operates worldwide in over 50 locations, providing companies with key services for developing export markets.


All workshops include drinks and nibbles and run from 5.30pm - 7pm.
